Episode 179 - The Ovation UK2

When the electric guitar boom was sweeping the nation in the 1960s, Charles Kaman figured he’d better bring his company, Ovation, up to speed. He started work in earnest on a series of solidbody electric guitars. One of the last models he produced was the UK2, in 1979. By that time, though, the party was over, and our man Charles returned to his accoustic guitar roots.

Beverages!

Podcasting is thirsty work; it’s crucial that everyone involved stay hydrated. The following fine beverages contributed to the success of this episode: Ed still has some Red Bull leftover from his road trip. He claims to not like Red Bull. John once again is dipping his toes in the refreshing Safeway pool of deliciousness, via Soleil Berry-Favored water. This week’s beverage intro song clip, performed (a little bit) live in-studio was Galaxies by Laura Veirs.
