Episode 187 - The Ibanez Universe

Strictly speaking guitars with more than six strings are nothing new; luthiers have been building them for many, many years. It wasn’t until times closer to our own, however, that the possibilities of such instruments expanded. We have Steve Vai and Ibanez to thank for the first production 7-string electric guitar, and every nu metal band after that for championing their use.

Beverages!

Podcasting is thirsty work; it’s crucial that everyone involved stay hydrated. The following fine beverages contributed to the success of this episode: Ed is now juicing each ingredient separately, and putting them in individual jars for after-the-fact experimentation. Science! Meanwhile, John enjoyed a Sidral Mundet, which is carbonated apple juice. That either means he is worldly and sophisticated, or belongs at the kids' table... This week’s beverage intro song clip, performed (a little) live in-studio was Predictable by Korn.
