Episode 193 - Grammer Guitars

When Billy Grammer wrote Gotta Travel On in 1959, it was an instant hit. So much so that Buddy Holly wasfond of covering it in his own shows. It wasn’t long before Billy decided to start up his own guitar company. This week’s example comes the period just after Mr. Grammer sold to Ampeg. It’s a charming instrument, but even better, it sounds great!

Beverages!

Podcasting is thirsty work; it’s crucial that everyone involved stay hydrated. The following fine beverages contributed to the success of this episode: Ed is attacking an Orca beverage with vigor - a Lemmy Sparkling Lemon drink. Meanwhile, John is having himself a Coke. Mexican Coke. Because it's not like he's in the pocket of big corn or something. This week’s beverage intro song clip, performed live in-studio was Gotta Travel On by Billy Grammer.
