Episode 233 - Epiphone Spirit

Once upon a time, Gibson decided to make a very special Les Paul Junior. They called it the Spirit, and put the Epiphone name on it. In fact, it was even made in the USA, right alongside its Gibson-branded brethren in the Kalamazoo, MI factory. It was identical in every way but name; even the price was similar. So much so, that when Gibson shut the Kalamazoo factory for good, the leftover Spirits were shipped to Nashviille, where “Gibson” was silkscreened right over the old “Epiphone” name on the headstock. And to this day, if you look really hard at some Spirits, you can see the Epiphone peaking out from underneath the Gibson. Enjoy!

Beverages!

Podcasting is thirsty work; it’s crucial that everyone involved stay hydrated. The following fine beverages contributed to the success of this episode: Ed is sticking with that powdery beverage stuff that makes all kinds of health claims. He does look energetic, though... John had a Coke, because there have to be checks and balances.
